Bike to Work Day 2019
Updated: Apr 30, 2019
May is Bike Month and as always, we'll be celebrating National Bike to Work Day here in Columbus! We will have groups riding to work from four different locations, so if you'd like some company on your ride to work, join us! If you've never ridden to work before, this is a great opportunity to give it a try. Our Bike to Work Day will coincide with Cummins Bike to Work Day once again this year, on Friday, May 17th.
Please meet at 7:10am and community leaders will leave the following locations at 7:15am:
• Westhill on 46W (meet in the Papa’s Grill parking lot) - this is the Cummins employee route
• Blackwell Park/Parkside Area (meet in the parking lot west of the soccer fields)
• The Haw Creek Trail (meet at the intersection of 30th St. and Griffa
• America and Roby Anderson Community Center
Each group will have a lead and follow bicyclist assigned, and we ask that all riders wear a helmet and follow the rules of the road on their ride. If you need a bike or assistance with tuning up your bike prior to Bike to Work Day, we suggest that you frequent one of our local bike shops or visit Columbus Bike Co-op, a not-for-profit that sells used bikes and offers a full bike workshop as well as volunteer assistance with working on your bike (for a small donation).
A light breakfast provided by the Columbus Area Metropolitan Planning Organization (CAMPO) will be served at Irwin Conference Center Plaza (5th & Jackson St) from 7:30-8:30am. We hope that you can join us!
