Bike There on September 22
Bike to Work Day 2020, like all events and activities since March 2020, is going to look different this year. National Bike to Work Day normally takes place in May, but this year it was postponed until September due to the COVID-19 pandemic. In addition, since many people continue to work from home, the League of American Bicyclists have changed the celebration to encourage you to Bike There on Tuesday, September 22 - whether "There" is work, a fun trip around town with family, to a bike-friendly business or elsewhere.
Instead of focusing on biking to work, this year the focus is on biking for health, wellbeing, and fun.
The League of American Bicyclists is encouraging everyone to get on a bike, go for a ride, and share the joy online together. You can share photos of your solo or family rides on social media using #BikeThere and #BikesUnite and share the joy biking brings you.
While we will miss our usual Bike to Work Day celebration this year, we encourage you to participate in this new Bike There event and to encourage friends and family to do the same. Share a pic of your solo or family ride on social media using the hashtags #BikeThere and #BikesUnite.
